Day 01: Arrive Delhi and drive to Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur - Jaipur- The capital city of the state of Rajasthan is popularly known as the ‘Pink City’ of the terra-cotta-colored lime plaster that coats the old part of the city's walls, buildings, and temples. Arrive and check in. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 02: Jaipur Tour
Morning, proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort - the original Palace was built by Raja Mansingh and later additions were made by Sawai Jai Singh. One of the finest example of Rajput architecture. Enjoy the ascent to the Palace on the back of a brightly caparisoned elephant. Visit the multiple chambers and hallways of the palace which are famous for their design and decorations.
Afternoon, proceed for a city tour to visit the unique Jantar Mantar, which is a magnificent stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728 and drive past the Hawa Mahal, an intriguing “Palace of Winds”. This was really a facade built in 1799, to allow royal ladies to view the city from the windows. Later visit the opulent City Palace, the former royal residence built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal style which has grand museums displaying an excellent collection of miniature paintings, costumes and armory. Day 03: Jaipur – Agra (04 hrs) & Visit Agra fort
Atter breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Agra - In the 16th and 17th Centuries, was the capital of Moghul India and its superb monuments date from that era. It has a magnificent fort and the building which so many people come to India solely to see - the Taj Mahal. Arrive and check-in keep baggage and visit to Agra fort- Agra Fort - The high red sandstone ramparts of this great monument stretch for almost 2.5 km, dominating a bend in the river Yamuna, northwest of the Taj Mahal. The foundation of this majestic citadel was laid by the Emperor Akbar, and it developed as a stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Overnight stay at Agra.
Day 04: Early morning Visit to Taj Mahal & later drive to Delhi (04 hrs)
At sunrise tour Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) - one of the seven wonders of the world, a mausoleum built by Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Return back to hotel for breakfast, later checkout from hotel and drive Delhi, Arrive & checkin, Evening free for leisure, and Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 05: Delhi city tour
Morning breakfast at hotel later proceed on a tour of Old Delhi, visit the Red Fort, Raj Ghat - a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. Later tour New Delhi, drive along Rajpath the capital’s broadest avenue, for a view of the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at Delhi.
Day 06- Fly from Delhi to Srinagar
After breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Delhi airport and fly to Srinagar - On your arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes’ drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah Bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum River, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. We arrive at the hotel and check in. Later we will go on a 90 minutes shikara ride in the lake. This boat ride glides you past some wonderful vegetable gardens and aquatic life. Overnight at Srinagar.
Day 07: In Srinagar: Local sightseeing – Half a day
After Breakfast we will do a half a day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. We will explore the gardens and later drive back to hotel. Overnight at Srinagar.
Day 08: Drive from Srinagar –Day Trip to Sonamarg (03 hr)
After breakfast check out from the houseboat and proceed to the Soanamrg' meadow of gold’ Sonamarg. The fast flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment). In the evening back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 09: Drive from Srinagar- Day trip to Pahalgam (06 hrs.)
After Breakfast drive from Srinagar to Pahalgam and drive on the National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. We drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvellous ruins of Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. We switch the the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder River flowing from the opposite direction. Drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 10: Drive from Srinagar- Day trip to Gulmarg (05 hrs.)- Srinagar (1 hr)
After breakfast in the morning, we will begin tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesque market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. We arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Later we will begin a short tour around the meadow familarising ourselves with the beauty. In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system, and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some horse-riding to the strawberry valley. Later Drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 11: Departure, Fly from Srinagar to Delhi
After breakfast transfer to the airport fly from Srinagar to Delhi.
